The conference covered the following issues:

• Key security concerns of the banking and financial services industry, and the approaches available to counter the ever-increasing security threats, especially when services are delivered via alternate delivery channels like an ATM, kiosk, phone, plastic card or Internet.
• The defences and controls for tackling identity theft, misuse of customer data, money laundering, and fraudulent transactions encompass technology-based solutions, process improvements, employee surveillance and customer education.
